Cathy Ross Dorion

Cathy started dancing 28 years ago and has been working at the Dancers’ Studio for 20 years. She started assisting with classes under the direction of Jane Ross and then started teaching classes. Trained in Early Childhood Education, Cathy thoroughly enjoys providing positive dance experiences to our dancers. In 2008, Cathy purchased the studio and enjoys working with all of the dancers and their families. Cathy has lived in Midland for most of her life and has been a business owner in the area for over 30 years. Cathy co founded Aspire Dance Challenge in 2018.

Jordyn Dorion

Jordyn fell in love with dance in 1990 at the young age of two. Following eight years of recreational classes, she joined the Dancers Studio's Images Dance Company competitive dance program in 1998. Jordyn excelled in competitive dance through to 2007. In 2005, she traveled the U.S. dancing with the Dance Olympus VIP Tour. With tap being one of Jordyn's favourite styles, she was thrilled to dance with the Downbeats Tap Company in 2005 and 2006. At an early age Jordyn knew that she wanted to pass on her love of dance to others. In 2001 she started as an assistant teacher at the Dancers' Studio, taking on her own classes in 2005. She is currently the lead teacher of Images Dance Company where she has been recognized for choreography, costuming and performance. Jordyn attended George Brown's Commercial Dance Studies Program in 2007. She is a certified member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA). Jordyn co founded Aspire Dance Challenge in 2018. Performance credits include Cali’s “If I want to” music video (Toronto), Go Go Dancer (Collingwood), and numerous performances as a professional dancer with Splash Entertainment such as; GBGH Hospital Gala (Midland), Fundraiser at Capitol Theatre (Toronto), Big Wigs (Midland) and Wedding Showcase (Midland).

Fiona Cascagnette

Fiona started her dancing career as a highland dancer quickly discovering all forms of dance while growing up in Burlington. A “Sundance Kid” trained by Sue Irmisch at Sundance Studios and Talent Agency; she enjoyed competing in Canada and the US and completing her dance exams with the SDTA, BATD and CDTA. Fiona is most proud of her performance experiences including the CNE, opening of the SkyDome, Tivoli’s Miniature World, “I’ll Take Manhatten”, “Almost Grown” and many performances on “Big Top Talent”. After moving to the Midland area, Fiona has enjoyed over 20 years of dance with the Dancers’ Studio. As the competitive tap and adult dance teacher, she looks forward to sharing her love of dance with her students. 

Carlee Lefaive

Carlee began dancing at the young age of 7. Eventually as her love for dance grew, she joined a competitive dance team (Images Dance Co.) at the Dancers’ Studio in Midland. She competed for 6 years under the direction of Jane Ross, Jodi Kohal & Fiona Cascagnette. Carlee has since studied Fitness and Health Promotions at Niagara College and in 2006 trained as a fitness instructor through CanFit Pro. Carlee began teaching at the Dancer’s Studio 8 years ago. She is experienced in teaching dancers of all ages and levels and uses innovative ideas to keep the classes & routines fun and interesting. Her students enjoy her vibrant class and energy. Carlee teaches our recreational dancers and assists with our competitive team. Carlee has made appearances as a professional dancer with Splash Entertainment since 2009- present. She danced at events such as; GBGH Hospital Gala (Midland), Fundraiser at Capitol Theatre (Toronto), Big Wigs (Midland), Wedding Showcase (Midland) and Go-go dancer (Collingwood).

Michelene Mountjoy

Michelene started dancing when she was four at the Dancers’ Studio and has never stopped her commitment ever since. From 2006 to 2014, she competed with the studio’s competitive group Images Dance Company and started teaching her own classes in 2011 with many successes in dancing and choreography. Michelene pursued her goal after graduating high school to become a teacher by enrolling in the Early Childhood Program at Georgian College. In 2016 she started her next journey at Brock University where she began her Bachelor of Education. On the side, she became apart of Brock Dance and taught her own tap classes for two years. Just recently, Michelene graduated from the Consecutive Education program at Brock University which has led her to be a newly registered Ontario Certified Teacher as of July 2020. Her dedication to her studies and her commitment to students has been recognized with her being the recipient of the Dean of Education Award for Professional Growth and the Distinguished Graduate Award. Throughout her education, Michelene has been involved with the Dancers’ Studio by supplying throughout the years and teaching the spring dance sessions and summer camps. She loves spreading her passion and knowledge of dance to her students and can’t wait to get back to teaching her own classes this fall!
