Our Virtual Dance Program to complete our 2019/2020 season has now ended. Watch our website for announcements about upcoming dance programs!
We are excited to announce that the Dancers Studio will be moving to a virtual platform to bring you your regular dance classes as well as bonus classes and dance opportunities online. Read below to learn more... we can't wait to dance with you!
How do I register?
You already are! All dancers from our 2019/2020 have been registered in their virtual dance class through Jackrabbit. Some classes have been combined and it is possible that your class may be at a different time than the regular schedule.
When is my class?
To find out when your class will be held, you can view the schedule by clicking on the link to the left. All dancers will find their classes set up in Jackrabbit, access the Parent Portal to view your classes - this is where you will go in order to access the link and password to your online class.
Can I take extra classes?
Absolutely! We are pleased to offer every dancer the opportunity to sign up for an extra virtual class on the schedule. Classes that are not available are highlighted in gray. Email email@example.com with the class you would like to add and we will register you.
Don't forget about the virtual bonus classes that are available to everyone, details are to the left and no registration is required.
What platform are you using online?
We are using Zoom! Zoom for our dancers and families is a free app that can be downloaded on a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. The app will need access to your camera, microphone and speaker, these are embedded into most tablets and all smartphones.
What do I need?
Comfortable clothes and some space to move. You don't need too much space, your teacher will be using an area of about 10 feet x 10 feet in order to remain in view of their camera. For tap, you don't need to wear tap shoes however if you are, either place a piece of plywood down or dance on a floor that won't get damaged by your taps. Dancing on concrete is never recommended.
